9:00 am Foraging
First, we will meet for a foraging foray with John at Waddill Wildlife Refuge where you’ll learn how to identify and harvest seasonal wild edibles like mushrooms and greens (if nature provides). During the outing, you'll learn foraging tips and techniques to discover the secrets to safely and sustainably gathering wild ingredients.
12:00 pm Cooking Class
After, you’ll reconvene with your bounty back at the Red Stick Spice teaching kitchen, where you’ll craft gourmet recipes that celebrate the essence of the natural world. You will create delicious, seasonal dishes featuring foraged finds under the guidance of the Red Stick Spice Teaching Kitchen Staff.
