Bernard Janssen currently serves as Executive Chef and Culinary Program Manager for ZWILLING J.A. Henckels. Originally from The Netherlands, Bernard has over twenty years of culinary experience working as Executive Chef in restaurants and cooking schools internationally. He has traveled Europe to host trainings and demos for the Zwilling Group. Bernard’s cooking style specializes in inventive flavor combinations with a flair for creating beautiful plate presentations. 

 

This is a SIT-WATCH-EAT Cooking Demo with appetizer-sized portions. The event begins with a first course that elevates the senses: seared halibut paired with a braised leeks, and a delicious shallot parsley sauce. Next, you'll feast on sous-vide cooked bacon-wrapped pork loin, bathed in a delectable mushroom vermouth sauce with a subtle undertone of dark chocolate. Accompanying this savory delight are duck fat-crisped mini potatoes and air fryer roasted cauliflower and carrots. The demo ends on a sweet note with a ricotta cheesecake that's as heavenly as it sounds, adorned with a fall apple and pear compote that captures the essence of the season.

This class is for participants 16 and up. Teenagers must be accompanied by an adult; both the teenager and accompanying adult must purchase a class seat.

CLASS TRANSFER POLICY: No Refunds. If you are unable to attend this class, you may request a transfer to move your reservation to another class. However these requests must be received seven (7) working days in advance of the class date. If your request is made after seven (7) working days, we will not be able to accommodate your transfer request. You may, however, pass along your place in this class to another person. Planning and staffing takes place well in advance of each cooking class; therefore, we are unable to offer refunds.
