Premium 18 Year Aged Dark Balsamic Vinegar has been barrel aged in the traditional style for 18 years. This process results in a thick, pourable dark balsamic that is rich and complex in flavor. We love it with our Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil for bread dipping. It is also ideal for salad dressings, especially when combined with our Garlic Extra Virgin Olive OIl.
Premium 18 Year Aged Dark Balsamic Vinegar is made through a meticulous process of aging and blending grape must, a cooked grape juice, with high-quality wine vinegar. The mixture is aged in a series of wooden barrels made from different types of wood, including oak, cherry and chestnut. These barrels impart unique flavors to the vinegar as it matures over the years. During the aging process, the vinegar undergoes natural evaporation and concentration, resulting in a thick, syrupy consistency and complex flavor profile characterized by sweet, tangy and woody notes.
